Spectators: 7980 (Terracing: 6031, Seating: 1849, VIP seats: 100) Kindrohid's Batt Rogers started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Batt Rogers sent away a hard shot on goal in the 5th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Louis Rutherford showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Batt Rogers, who was totally free with the ball in the 8th minute. Louis Rutherford made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Batt Rogers in the 9th minute of play. Ryley Deans kicked well hit freekick during the 12th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Kindrohid's Barran Caffrey got a free kick in the 13th minute. Kindrohid's Oliver Palmer proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 16th minute of the match, managed to save Kindrohid from getting a goal against them. After 21 minutes, Donegan Costello mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Kindrohid and the Tallaght United players grew even worse after the yellow card. Donegan Costello hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. With a little luck, Kindrohid's Oliver Palmer got control of the ball when Desmond McWillie tried to sneak it across the goal line. 25 minutes into the match, Kindrohid's goalkeeper Oliver Palmer had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Sameer Robinson. After some careless play in the Kindrohid defense, Sameer Robinson kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Oliver Palmer. The Kindrohid fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Oliver Palmer should have stopped the shot. The long shot by Ryley Deans in the 32nd minute really tested Oliver Palmer's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. If Phelim McLaughlin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 40th minute the ball was on its way in behind Tallaght United's goalkeeper Louis Rutherford, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Tallaght United's zone, Phelim McLaughlin stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Louis Rutherford came out of the goal and Phelim McLaughlin tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Cassidy Hunt made a kick off. A hard shot 55 in the game by Batt Rogers from a close distance when the talented Louis Rutherford managed to make a qualified save. Tallaght United's players were relieved. When Batt Rogers got free in front of the goal in the 58th minute he wasn't very focused and chipped the ball just over the goal. Louis Rutherford was delighted since he was out of position and the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Batt Rogers sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Louis Rutherford was a little too slow when Batt Rogers got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 63rd minute. The score was now 1-1. During the 67th minute of the match Donegan Costello completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Donegan Costello a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. Phelim McLaughlin might have been able to make a better finish in the 72nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Louis Rutherford. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Phelim McLaughlin ran back to his position shaking his head. Kindrohid's Cian Cronin got a good chance for a goal in the 74th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpected shot in the 77th minute by Barran Caffrey got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. In the 86th minute, Desmond McWillie left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Tallaght United fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. Phelim McLaughlin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Barran Caffrey struck a weak shot in the 93rd minute. Louis Rutherford didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Kindrohid.
