In the 10th match minute, Ballyclider was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Blathma Hamilton to maneuver through the defense. In the 14th match minute, Clonkirk was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bernard Cooney to maneuver through the defense. 15 minutes into the match, Clonkirk's goal looked a bit too open when Buach Deans came free, but Bearchan Cooney reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Reagan Barrett came up free with the goalie in the 18th minute, the Ballyclider fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Reagan Barrett couldn't finish the play. Suibhne Myler showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bealtaine Caffrey in the 21st minute of the match. After 22nd play minutes Buach Deans shot 0-1, a short shot which went by Bearchan Cooney and just under the crossbar into goal. Bragain McTommy hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. Buach Deans struck a weak shot in the 28th minute. Bearchan Cooney didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ballyclider. 32 minutes into the match, Robert Byrne notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Ballyclider's Suibhne Myler. Suibhne Myler was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. When the match had gone on for 38 minutes, Buach Deans put it in 1-2 from a short distance just to the right of Bearchan Cooney. Ballyclider's Suibhne Myler proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 41st minute of the match, managed to save Ballyclider from getting a goal against them. In the 46th minute, Bealtaine Caffrey reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Suibhne Myler. The goal made the score 2-2.

Suibhne Myler stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Bealtaine Caffrey's shot from short distance in the 52nd minute. Suibhne Myler took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Terence Caffrey, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Clonkirk's Terence Caffrey got a free kick in the 59th minute. Clonkirk's Bearchan Cooney proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 60th minute of the match, managed to save Clonkirk from getting a goal against them. Cianán Cassin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bearchan Cooney having to interfere. After 68 played minutes, Clonkirk's Banban Lester shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Suibhne Myler came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Clonkirk reached it. The supporters of Ballyclider booed when Clonkirk was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 69 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bragain McTommy didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 72nd minute, Banban Lester hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The nice shot from Buach Deans in the 74thth minute just in front of the goal should have ended in point on the board, but Bearchan Cooney had a great feel for the game and superbly saved the ball from getting in by the left post. Bealtaine Caffrey received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Suibhne Myler tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 84th minute of the match Banban Lester shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Suibhne Myler showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Reagan Barrett hit a great freekick 85 minutes into the match. After 87 played minutes Ballyclider got a freekick which was hit by Cianán Cassin. Buach Deans's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 90thth minute, Bearchan Cooney skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Breanainn Kirby received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Bearchan Cooney tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Blathma Hamilton's late challenge caught a Clonkirk's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Blathma Hamilton helped the player get up and apologised. In the 92nd match minute, Ballyclider was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Blathma Hamilton to maneuver through the defense.
