Pauric Tierney showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Boddibevve McWill, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. 16 minutes into the match, Greenhall FC's goal looked a bit too open when Rolan Ryan came free, but Salmon McIan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 18th minute, Edward Duggan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Fionntán Gough kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. Douglas Delaney hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. Bealtaine Hughes who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 25thth minute tested the skills of Salmon McIan when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Bealtaine Hughes charged in rather forcefully in the 27th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Bealtaine Hughes the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Salmon McIan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bearach Robinson, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. 36 minutes into the match, Greenhall FC's goalkeeper Salmon McIan had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Bealtaine Hughes. When Greenhall FC's Boddibevve McWill, in the 39th minute, received a pass right in front of the net, it looked like a certain goal, but his shot went outside. A wasted opportunity for Greenhall FC. Boddibevve McWill blasted a shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Pauric Tierney having to make a save. Boddibevve McWill sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Briony McCollion kicked well hit freekick during the 45th minute of the match. 47 minutes into the game, Breannain Gough was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Bohemian Football Club's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Greenhall FC the free kick. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Boddibevve McWill made a kick off. Greenhall FC's Salmon McIan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rolan Ryan in the 58th minute of play. If Bealtaine John had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bannon Glen Crowe kicked well hit freekick during the 66th minute of the match. After some careless play in the Greenhall FC defense, Bearach Robinson kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Salmon McIan. The Greenhall FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Salmon McIan should have stopped the shot. 78 minutes into the match, Bohemian Football Club's goalkeeper Pauric Tierney had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Boddibevve McWill. After 80 played minutes Greenhall FC got a freekick which was hit by Briony McCollion. Salmon McIan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rolan Ryan in the 82nd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Boddibevve McWill in the 83rd minute of play forced Bohemian Football Club's goalkeeper Pauric Tierney to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Greenhall FC's Boddibevve McWill in 86 game minutes managed to cut through with the ball in front of the goal, only having to shoot. Pauric Tierney guarding the goal like a pit bull was extremely focused and managed to reach the ball just by the crossbar before it went in. With a little luck, Bohemian Football Club's Pauric Tierney got control of the ball when Boddibevve McWill tried to sneak it across the goal line. Bearach Robinson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Salmon McIan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Greenhall FC's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because Bohemian Football Club had won, even though Greenhall FC had held more of the ball.
