Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) 6 minutes into the game, Reenroe's Herne McFrank nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Dónal Savic made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Herne McFrank fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dónal Savic having to interfere. In the 15th match minute, Exams was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Brendon McOliver to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 17 minutes, Herne McFrank managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Reenroe's supporters crossed their fingers, but Herne McFrank was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 19th match minute, Reenroe was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Caimin McAlphie to maneuver through the defense. 21 minutes into the match, Reenroe's goal looked a bit too open when Caimin McStephen came free, but Caolán Dempsey reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Brendann Bayes in the 23rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Dónal Savic prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Edwin Perth during the 25th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 25th match minute, Exams was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Edwin Perth to maneuver through the defense. Coran McGlenn kicked well hit freekick during the 27th minute of the match. Breslin Dunne shot from long distance in the 27th minute, but Dónal Savic was prepared and stopped the ball at the left post. Herne McFrank sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Dónal Savic made an important save on a dangerous shot by Herne McFrank in the 44th minute. Brendann Bayes struck a weak shot in the 48th minute. Dónal Savic didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Reenroe.

54 minutes into the match, Exams's goal looked a bit too open when Herne McFrank came free, but Dónal Savic reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 55th play minutes Herne McFrank shot 2-0, a short shot which went by Dónal Savic and just under the crossbar into goal. Dónal Savic took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Brendann Bayes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Dónal Savic didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Herne McFrank went, in the 69th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-0 was the resulting score. Caolán Dempsey made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Basil Silke in the 76th minute of play. When Herne McFrank came up free with the goalie in the 80th minute, the Reenroe fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Herne McFrank couldn't finish the play. In the 87th minute Rowley Prunty suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Kerrigan McPaul during the 87th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 88th minute, Kerrigan McPaul hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, Reenroe's Fergal Kirby got a free kick in the 91st minute. Herne McFrank sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Reenroe's Caolán Dempsey played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Basil Silke in the 97th minute of play. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Reenroe fully deserved thier win.
