Theodore McJames showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lochlainn McVictor, who was totally free with the ball in the 4th minute. 7 minutes had been played when some careless play by Bohemian FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Rowley Quinnless was slow to take the kick. During this time East Coast Fc's players had a chance to rest. After a rather tough play, Bohemian FC's Bearchan Doyle got a free kick in the 9th minute. 12 minutes into the match, Bourns Horgan had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Theodore McJames. Bohemian FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Bourns Horgan was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. After a rather tough play, Bohemian FC's Sameer McNamara got a free kick in the 14th minute. After 15 minutes, Eoin Savic mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the East Coast Fc and the Bohemian FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, East Coast Fc's Eoin Savic got a free kick in the 16th minute. Lochlainn McVictor fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Theodore McJames having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Lochlainn McVictor's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Theodore McJames was relentless in the 19th minute of the game. Theodore McJames stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Bourns Horgan's shot from short distance in the 20th minute. Lochlainn McVictor sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Bourns Horgan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Theodore McJames having to interfere. After 26 played minutes Bohemian FC got a freekick which was hit by Bearchan Scully. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lochlainn McVictor in the 30th minute of play forced Bohemian FC's goalkeeper Theodore McJames to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Bourns Horgan in the 32nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Theodore McJames saved Bohemian FC from getting behind. After having played for 36 minutes, Lochlainn McVictor managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. East Coast Fc's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lochlainn McVictor was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Bourns Horgan in the 38th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Theodore McJames saved Bohemian FC from getting behind. If Lochlainn McVictor had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. If Bourns Horgan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After the first half East Coast Fc were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Bearchan Doyle to strike the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in Bohemian FC's zone, Baolach McAaron stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Theodore McJames came out of the goal and Baolach McAaron tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After having played for 55 minutes, Lochlainn McVictor managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. East Coast Fc's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lochlainn McVictor was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Thanks to some nice moves Lochlainn McVictor could shoot a difficult shot in the 62nd minute, which Theodore McJames however easily saved by the left post. East Coast Fc were awarded a corner in the 64th minute after Bohemian FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Rowley Quinnless took the corner. Bourns Horgan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Theodore McJames tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A hard shot by Donald Branson from long distance, 68 minutes into the match, got Theodore McJames's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. After some fancy dribbling in the 69th minute, Bourns Horgan managed to get in a good position for a shot. East Coast Fc's supporters rose to their feet, but Bourns Horgan was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Theodore McJames breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The supporters of Bohemian FC booed when East Coast Fc was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eoin Savic didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Bourns Horgan in the 77th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Theodore McJames saved Bohemian FC from getting behind. 82 minutes into the match, Bohemian FC's goal looked a bit too open when Bourns Horgan came free, but Theodore McJames reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Lochlainn McVictor came up free with the goalie in the 86th minute, the East Coast Fc fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Lochlainn McVictor couldn't finish the play. If Bourns Horgan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bourns Horgan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Theodore McJames came out of the goal in the 96th minute to try and stop a shot by East Coast Fc's Bourns Horgan. But to his dismay, Bourns Horgan quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. When the match was over East Coast Fc could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Bohemian FC throughout the match.
