Paudraig Byrne showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Derin Walker, who was totally free with the ball in the 7th minute. Derrygile's Paudraig Byrne played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Adamnan McGlynn in the 10th minute of play. Banbhan Crowe kicked well hit freekick during the 13th minute of the match. Derin Walker's late challenge caught a Derrygile's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Derin Walker helped the player get up and apologised. Paudraig Byrne made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Harold McBrand in the 23rd minute of play. Paudraig Byrne took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Adamnan McGlynn, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 34th minute Brendan McJames shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Paudraig Byrne saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 35th minute, Derin Walker made a precise shot to the right of Paudraig Byrne. Derrygile's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-3. The supporters of Neves FC booed when Derrygile was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bartel Robinson didn't get a good kick on the ball. Paudraig Byrne didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Brendan McJames went, in the 94th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-9 was the resulting score. The Derrygile fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Neves FC were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
