Peadar Lester charged in rather forcefully in the 9th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Peadar Lester the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Miseal AFC booed when Cloonlavis was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Raonall McPhil didn't get a good kick on the ball. Brendan McFrancise showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edward Cassin in the 18th minute of the match. Edward Cassin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Brendan McFrancise tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Paudraig Todd hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. Bragan Rogers didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Patty Scully went, in the 26th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. Peadar Lester got his second yellow card in the match during the 28th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. Peadar Lester kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. Brendan McFrancise had great luck who in the 30thth minute grab hold of the ball when Edward Cassin from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. Barhan McCready hit a great freekick 34 minutes into the match. In the 36th minute of the match Paudraig Todd sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Brendan McFrancise skillfully saved the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cormac McFrank in the 38th minute of play forced Cloonlavis's goalkeeper Bragan Rogers to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Bell Dimson came up free with the goalie in the 39th minute, the Miseal AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bell Dimson couldn't finish the play. If Bell Dimson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Patty Scully sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Patty Scully came up free with the goalie in the 46th minute, the Miseal AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Patty Scully couldn't finish the play. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

Cloonlavis's Bragan Rogers proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 52nd minute of the match, managed to save Cloonlavis from getting a goal against them. Bragan Rogers made an important save on a dangerous shot by Patty Scully in the 58th minute. Bragan Rogers showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cormac McFrank, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. In the 68th minute of the match, Patty Scully got a very nice opportunity to score, but Bragan Rogers was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. With a little luck, Cloonlavis's Bragan Rogers got control of the ball when Patty Scully tried to sneak it across the goal line. Bragan Rogers was a little too slow when Patty Scully got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 77th minute. The score was now 0-3. Bragan Rogers took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Barhan McCready, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Patty Scully got free with Bragan Rogers in the 87th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a defensive mix-up in Cloonlavis's zone, Patty Scully stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bragan Rogers came out of the goal and Patty Scully tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Barhan McCready had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 93rd minute Bell Dimson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bragan Rogers saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the final whistle sounded Miseal AFC left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Cloonlavis.
