Bearchan Martyn took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dewayne Rutherford, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Payton Silke received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 7th minute. Bearchan Martyn tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Payton Silke sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 18 minutes into the match, Derrygile's goal looked a bit too open when Tipraite Tierney came free, but Paudraig Byrne reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Eararna's Cassidy McGlynn got a free kick in the 19th minute. When Payton Silke came up free with the goalie in the 24th minute, the Derrygile fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Payton Silke couldn't finish the play. In the 25th match minute, Eararna was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gilian McJames to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 27th minute, Payton Silke managed to get in a good position for a shot. Derrygile's supporters rose to their feet, but Payton Silke was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Bearchan Martyn breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 29 minutes into the game, Cassidy McGlynn was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Eararna's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Derrygile the free kick. After a rather tough play, Eararna's Cassidy McGlynn got a free kick in the 30th minute. The supporters of Eararna booed when Derrygile was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dewayne Rutherford didn't get a good kick on the ball. 43 minutes into the match, Derrygile's goal looked a bit too open when Tipraite Tierney came free, but Paudraig Byrne reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Royan McPhilip to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute Payton Silke shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bearchan Martyn saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tipraite Tierney might have been able to make a better finish in the 63rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Paudraig Byrne. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Tipraite Tierney ran back to his position shaking his head. The supporters of Derrygile booed when Eararna was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gilbeirt McPaul didn't get a good kick on the ball. Tipraite Tierney charged in rather forcefully in the 65th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Tipraite Tierney the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The crowd rose to their feet as Eararna's Royan McPhilip slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Paudraig Byrne. That made the score 1-1 after 73 minutes of play. In the 77th minute, Bearnard McPaul hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Payton Silke received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Bearchan Martyn tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 82nd minute Payton Silke shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bearchan Martyn saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the Derrygile defense, Royan McPhilip kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Paudraig Byrne. The Derrygile fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Paudraig Byrne should have stopped the shot. If Brin McNamee had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the match had gone on for 96 minutes, Royan McPhilip took a quick shot and it went in 1-3 without a chance for Paudraig Byrne to make any attempt to save it.
