Berchan McJohnny recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 8th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some careless play in the Leahgarrow FC defense, Berchan McJohnny kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ferdia Cassin. The Leahgarrow FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ferdia Cassin should have stopped the shot. With a little luck, Campile's Becan McGlynn got control of the ball when Shiel Cooney tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 18th minute, Brandon Doherty hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of Campile booed when Leahgarrow FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Brain MaCollin didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 26th minute Reamann Dalton shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Becan McGlynn saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Killian Savic sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Leahgarrow FC's Ferdia Cassin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Berchan McJohnny in the 45th minute of play. After the first half Campile were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Shane Kelly's late challenge caught a Campile's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ferdia Cassin went to the wrong direction when Felim Morrison was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. Killian Savics short, quick shot in the 79thth minute got Ferdia Cassin to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. After a rather tough play, Leahgarrow FC's Dermot Gough got a free kick in the 82nd minute. After having played for 83 minutes, Killian Savic managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Campile's supporters crossed their fingers, but Killian Savic was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 86th minute the ball was on its way in behind Leahgarrow FC's goalkeeper Ferdia Cassin, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Kevion Lavine hit a great freekick 94 minutes into the match. Killian Savic fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 98th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ferdia Cassin having to interfere.
