Branson Gollogley fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bran Caffrey having to interfere. Branson Gollogley really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. In the 15th match minute, Finuge Utd was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Doney Martyn to maneuver through the defense. Bran Caffrey made an important save on a dangerous shot by Conaill Prunty in the 21st minute. Bran Caffrey made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Branson Gollogley in the 26th minute of play. With his leg Bran Caffrey managed to avoid a goal in the 28thth minute, when Carrickmore's Conaill Prunty fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Bran Caffrey took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Branson Gollogley, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Branson Gollogley in the 38th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Bran Caffrey prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 43 minutes into the game, Branson Gollogley recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Bran Caffrey. Branson Gollogley showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-0. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

After a rather tough play, Carrickmore's Brefni McJohn got a free kick in the 52nd minute. In the 66th minute Bedilia Hutton suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. Finuge Utd's Doney Martyn got his second yellow card of the match in the 66th minute. The referee ordered Doney Martyn off the ground. Doney Martyn hit a great freekick 67 minutes into the match.
