Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Bairre John started the match with the kick off. 3 minutes into the match, Riddoc Martyn had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Brogan McJames. Maulykeavane's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Riddoc Martyn was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. In the 7thth minute of the game Riddoc Martyn who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Maulykeavane's Brogan McJames was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Brogan McJames stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Riddoc Martyn's shot from short distance in the 9th minute. Brogan McJames took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Riddoc Martyn, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 14 minutes, Gavin McOliver mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Laochra and the Maulykeavane players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 14 played minutes Laochra got a freekick which was hit by Gavin McOliver. Brogan McJames didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Riddoc Martyn went, in the 16th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. Thomas Tracy's late challenge caught a Laochra's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Thomas Tracy helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Maulykeavane getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Thomas Tracy hit a great ball. In the 21st minute, Riddoc Martyn made a precise shot to the right of Brogan McJames. Maulykeavane's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-3. When Riddoc Martyn came up free with the goalie in the 36th minute, the Laochra fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Riddoc Martyn couldn't finish the play. Gavin McOliver fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Brogan McJames having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 39th minute, Riddoc Martyn managed to get in a good position for a shot. Laochra's supporters rose to their feet, but Riddoc Martyn was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Brogan McJames breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The audience was convinced that Riddoc Martyn's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Brogan McJames was relentless in the 41st minute of the game. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-6.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Riddoc Martyn was the one to do the kick off. Laochra's Gavin McOliver got his second yellow card of the match in the 51st minute. The referee ordered Gavin McOliver off the ground. A collision led to Laochra getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Gavin McOliver hit a great ball. Thomas Tracy blasted a shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Devlin Duggan having to make a save. 55 minutes into the game, Trien McCready was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Maulykeavane's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Laochra the free kick. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 55th minute of the game. One of Maulykeavane:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Laochra:s goal. Trien McCready kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. Biddy MaCollin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Brogan McJames tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Riddoc Martyn sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Barhart Todd kicked well hit freekick during the 69th minute of the match. Riddoc Martyn had several of the Maulykeavane's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 71 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 0-9 score and a disappointed Brogan McJames as he didn't even see the shot coming. 77 minutes into the match, Maulykeavane's goal looked a bit too open when Riddoc Martyn came free, but Brogan McJames reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Riddoc Martyn had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Biddy MaCollin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Riddoc Martyn came up free with the goalie in the 87th minute, the Laochra fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Riddoc Martyn couldn't finish the play. Riddoc Martyn could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 90th minute of the match, but Brogan McJames made a huge save. A collision led to Laochra getting a freekick after 92 minutes play. Ennis Dillon hit a great ball. Biddy MaCollin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 98th minute. Brogan McJames tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Laochra's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
