Donn McPhilip sent away a hard shot on goal in the 3rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 5thth minute of the game Beollan Lavine who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Maradona's Bradner Scully was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. A collision led to Maradona getting a freekick after 6 minutes play. Júlio Cruz hit a great ball. Baird McPeter kicked well hit freekick during the 8th minute of the match. After 13 played minutes Maradona got a freekick which was hit by Brak McJohnny. A collision led to Clooneagh getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Fergus McCready hit a great ball. Coran McStephen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Donn McPhilip, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. Baird McPeter made in the 23rd minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Baird McPeter however managed to control. Brak McJohnny got in the 26th a clear chance and fired away a hard shot against goal, but Coran McStephen handled the situation perfectly and made a save by the crossbar. In the 28th match minute, Clooneagh was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Baird McPeter to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 32nd minute, Donn McPhilip managed to get in a good position for a shot. Maradona's supporters rose to their feet, but Donn McPhilip was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Coran McStephen breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Donn McPhilip sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 40 minutes into the match, Clooneagh's goalkeeper Coran McStephen had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Brak McJohnny. Baird McPeter kicked well hit freekick during the 41st minute of the match. In the 44th match minute, Maradona was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Thom McLaughlin to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Maradona booed when Clooneagh was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Terrence McAlphie didn't get a good kick on the ball. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Brak McJohnny was the one to do the kick off. 52 minutes into the match, Clooneagh's goal looked a bit too open when Brak McJohnny came free, but Coran McStephen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Coran McStephen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Brak McJohnny in the 56th minute of play. When the match had gone on for 64 minutes, Brak McJohnny put it in 1-0 from a short distance just to the right of Coran McStephen. After some fancy dribbling in the 67th minute, Donn McPhilip managed to get in a good position for a shot. Maradona's supporters rose to their feet, but Donn McPhilip was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Coran McStephen breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Donn McPhilip fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Coran McStephen having to interfere. A collision led to Maradona getting a freekick after 86 minutes play. Donn McPhilip hit a great ball. 89 minutes into the game, Beollan Lavine was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Clooneagh's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Maradona the free kick. In the 89th minute, Beollan Lavine hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 93 minutes of play, Maradona's Brak McJohnny made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Coran McStephen was left in no man's land by his defense there! When the referee ended the match the Maradona players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
