After a rather tough play, Drumreilly's Joseph Callaghan got a free kick in the 4th minute. Gearóid Branson scored 0-1 in the 13th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ferdia Dempsey, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Danann Glen Crowe took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from David McNamee, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Danann Glen Crowe stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Joseph Callaghan's shot from short distance in the 21st minute. In the 27thth minute of the game Kain Horgan who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Drumreilly's Ferdia Dempsey was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Ferdia Dempsey showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gearóid Branson, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. The supporters of Drumreilly booed when CounterHeadQuarters F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Torrian McJames didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, CounterHeadQuarters F.C.'s Gearóid Branson got a free kick in the 34th minute. 39 minutes into the match, Drumreilly's David McNamee sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Danann Glen Crowe narrowly saved just below the crossbar. David McNamee received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Danann Glen Crowe tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when David McNamee stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes into the match, Colmcille Frankson had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Danann Glen Crowe. CounterHeadQuarters F.C.'s manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Colmcille Frankson was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. Kain Horgan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Ferdia Dempsey tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 65 minutes, David McNamee managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Drumreilly's supporters crossed their fingers, but David McNamee was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Glenn Palmer might have been able to make a better finish in the 73rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Danann Glen Crowe. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Glenn Palmer ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 80th minute, Glenn Palmer got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. David McNamee took the ball and in the 82 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Danann Glen Crowe. Danann Glen Crowe dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. A collision led to CounterHeadQuarters F.C. getting a freekick after 85 minutes play. Geary Sheridan hit a great ball. Drumreilly were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
