When Boyd Walker came up free with the goalie in the 5th minute, the Derrymullen FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Boyd Walker couldn't finish the play. In the 6th minute, Timmons Ghee got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 8th minute Timmons Ghee suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. After a rather tough play, Drimmeen's Patty Glen Crowe got a free kick in the 9th minute. In the 12th minute Breffni Dunne shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Beiti Quinnless saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 14th minute Keegan Mullan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Beiti Quinnless saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a little luck, Drimmeen's Baiste Murphy got control of the ball when Boyd Walker tried to sneak it across the goal line. Beiti Quinnless showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nolyn Kirby in the 21st minute of the match. Boyd Walker took the ball and in the 26 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Baiste Murphy. Baiste Murphy dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. After 29 minutes, Bivitas McPhil mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Derrymullen FC and the Drimmeen players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 29th minute, Bivitas McPhil hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Keegan Mullan struck a weak shot in the 31st minute. Beiti Quinnless didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Drimmeen. Beiti Quinnless took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nolyn Kirby, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 42 minutes into the match, Breffni Dunne notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Derrymullen FC's Beiti Quinnless. Beiti Quinnless was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Boyd Walker to strike the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, Drimmeen's Kevis McPaul got a free kick in the 51st minute. Beiti Quinnless was out of position in the 55 minute of play, and Breffni Dunne capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Breffni Dunne really showed his touch with that goal: 1-2. In the 59th minute, Derrymullen FC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Rylie MaCollin fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. The crowd rose to their feet as Drimmeen's Nolyn Kirby slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Beiti Quinnless. That made the score 1-4 after 64 minutes of play. Keegan Mullan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Balor Gillmour kicked well hit freekick during the 73rd minute of the match. Beiti Quinnless showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Breffni Dunne in the 75th minute of the match. In the 79th minute, Brady John hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 80th minute, Ricard Martyn managed to get in a good position for a shot. Drimmeen's supporters rose to their feet, but Ricard Martyn was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Beiti Quinnless breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 87 minutes, Brogan Doyle mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Derrymullen FC and the Drimmeen players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 87 played minutes Derrymullen FC got a freekick which was hit by Brogan Doyle. In the 89th minute, Boyd Walker ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Baiste Murphy was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-4. The Derrymullen FC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Drimmeen were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
