Duff McPhil showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mateusz Kapusta, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Paudraig McLaughlin in the 18th minute of play forced Mad Souls™'s goalkeeper John Keegan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Illanbaun Utd were furious when Branson Tierney was red carded, 21 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 21st minute of the game. One of Illanbaun Utd:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Mad Souls™:s goal. Brayden McSteven fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without John Keegan having to interfere. Mateusz Kapusta received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Duff McPhil tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Mateusz Kapusta struck a weak shot in the 31st minute. Duff McPhil didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Mad Souls™. 33 minutes into the match, Illanbaun Utd's goal looked a bit too open when Mateusz Kapusta came free, but Duff McPhil reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 35th minute Brayden McSteven shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but John Keegan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mateusz Kapusta fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Duff McPhil having to interfere. The wind increased when Mateusz Kapusta made the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in Illanbaun Utd's zone, Mateusz Kapusta stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Duff McPhil came out of the goal and Mateusz Kapusta tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Mateusz Kapusta's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Duff McPhil read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 53rd minute of play. Illanbaun Utd's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Mad Souls™ the free kick. 60 minutes into the game, one of Illanbaun Utd:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty.
