Bailey McPhilip didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Mully. In the 27th minute, Torrans McBjarton hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 32nd minute Batt Branson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bailey McPhilip saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Zamolxian Academy's Bailey McPhilip proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 34th minute of the match, managed to save Zamolxian Academy from getting a goal against them. Bailey McPhilip made a fantastic save in the 38th minute, when Boethis Byrne sent off a good shot on target. Bailey McPhilip made an important save on a dangerous shot by Boethis Byrne in the 39th minute. After having played for 40 minutes, Batt Branson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Batt Branson to make the kick off. Bailey McPhilip showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Boethis Byrne, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. In the 61st minute Boethis Byrne shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bailey McPhilip saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mully's supporters rose to their feet, but Boethis Byrne was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Bailey McPhilip breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 90th minute, Boyd Gollogley ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Bailey McPhilip was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. When Zamolxian Academy's Shea McAaron in the 96th minute got a chance for a shot 96th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Mully's goalie prevented a goal. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
