Spectators: 7473 (Terracing: 5500, Seating: 1873, VIP seats: 100) Walshtown's Beag Holt started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After 2 played minutes Baltovin got a freekick which was hit by Beccan Cooney. 5 minutes into the match, Baltovin's Beccan Cooney sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Brett Ghee narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Don McPaul took the ball and in the 8 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Banon Cronin. Banon Cronin dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Walshtown's Brett Ghee proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 12th minute of the match, managed to save Walshtown from getting a goal against them. Beccan Cassin scored 0-2 in the 20th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Banon Cronin, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Shea Hunt received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Brett Ghee tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Walshtown's Don McPaul got a free kick in the 26th minute. Beag Holt hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Brennon Benson during the 34th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. 37 minutes into the game, Brann Jameson was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Walshtown's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Baltovin the free kick. Beccan Cooney blasted a shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Brett Ghee having to make a save. If Beag Holt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 42nd minute, Don McPaul left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Walshtown fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. Banon Cronin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Beag Holt, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

After a rather tough play, Walshtown's Beag Holt got a free kick in the 63rd minute. In the 67thth minute of the game Beccan Cooney who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Walshtown's Brett Ghee was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. During the 69th minute of the match Don McPaul completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Don McPaul a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. After a rather tough play, Walshtown's Don McPaul got a free kick in the 70th minute. In the 73rd minute, Biviti Frankson fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Banon Cronin, passed just outside the right post. A hard shot 82 in the game by Beag Holt from a close distance when the talented Banon Cronin managed to make a qualified save. Baltovin's players were relieved. When Beccan Cooney fell near the penalty area in the 82nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Baltovin's protests and gave Beccan Cooney a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Baltovin getting a freekick after 83 minutes play. Beccan Cooney hit a great ball. With a little luck, Baltovin's Banon Cronin got control of the ball when Biviti Frankson tried to sneak it across the goal line. Beag Holt recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 87th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A collision led to Walshtown getting a freekick after 89 minutes play. Don McIan hit a great ball. If Beccan Cooney had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Brett Ghee made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Beccan Cooney in the 96th minute of play. The Baltovin supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Walshtown's performance. The match ended with a win for Walshtown.
