Brett Ghee made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Coinneach Colwell in the 24th minute of play. In the 28th minute the ball was on its way in behind Brockra Utd's goalkeeper Pearse McPhil, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 31 played minutes Brockra Utd got a freekick which was hit by Leon John. Devlin Cassin was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 31st played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. In the 38thth minute of the game Beag Holt who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Brockra Utd's Pearse McPhil was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Brett Ghee stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Bhrighde Ramsey's shot from short distance in the 46th minute. 47 minutes into the game, Don McPaul was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Walshtown's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Brockra Utd the free kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Beag Holt in the 85th minute of play forced Brockra Utd's goalkeeper Pearse McPhil to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Beccan Cassin's late challenge caught a Brockra Utd's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Beccan Cassin helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Walshtown getting a freekick after 87 minutes play. Beccan Cassin hit a great ball. Bhrighde Ramsey received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Brett Ghee tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Coinneach Colwell fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Brett Ghee having to interfere. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
