In the 6th minute, Berry Tracy made a precise shot to the right of Barhart Cassin. Shamrock rovers's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Gaynor Dimson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bec Martyn having to interfere. Barhart Cassin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from David Tracy in the 17th minute of play. Teddy Horgan scored 1-2 in the 19th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Bec Martyn, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Bec Martyn showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Casey Dimson in the 28th minute of the match. Teddy Horgan in the 30thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Bec Martyn, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Bec Martyn made an important save on a dangerous shot by Teddy Horgan in the 32nd minute. If Casey Dimson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bec Martyn made a fantastic save in the 43rd minute, when Teddy Horgan sent off a good shot on target. Bohannon Kelly charged in rather forcefully in the 43rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Bohannon Kelly the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Bohannon Kelly hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. Bec Martyn made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Casey Dimson in the 46th minute of play. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for David Tracy to strike the kick off in the second half. Barhart Cassin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from David Tracy, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. Teddy Horgan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bec Martyn having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Casey Dimson in the 60th minute of play forced Drom Utd's goalkeeper Bec Martyn to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Drom Utd's Bec Martyn played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Teddy Horgan in the 61st minute of play. In the 64th minute the ball was on its way in behind Drom Utd's goalkeeper Bec Martyn, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 66th minute, Gaynor Dimson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If David Tracy had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Barhart Cassin made an important save on a dangerous shot by Berry Tracy in the 72nd minute. After 77 played minutes, Shamrock rovers's Bradain Mulvihill shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Bec Martyn came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. Berry Tracy who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 80thth minute tested the skills of Barhart Cassin when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Gaynor Dimson was shown his second yellow card after 81 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. David Tracy received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Barhart Cassin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Donlevy Moran during the 84th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 84 played minutes Shamrock rovers got a freekick which was hit by Donlevy Moran. In the 84th minute, Berry Tracy got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Bec Martyn made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Teddy Horgan in the 94th minute of play. Donlevy Moran fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bec Martyn having to interfere. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Drom Utd had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
