The crowd rose to their feet as Bren Branson kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Bec Martyn. That made the score 1-0 in the 29 minute of play. 34 minutes into the match, Salia Sparta Club's goal looked a bit too open when Berry Tracy came free, but Colm Quinnless reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 38 minutes into the match, Drom Utd's goalkeeper Bec Martyn had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Heron Gallagher. The audience thought a goal was coming when Heron Gallagher got free with Bec Martyn in the 40th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

After 51 minutes, Gearard McLiam mouthed his way into the referee's book. Bec Martyn showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bren Branson, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. If Beagan Horgan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 76 minutes into the match, Drom Utd's goal looked a bit too open when Heron Gallagher came free, but Bec Martyn reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 77th minute the ball was on its way in behind Salia Sparta Club's goalkeeper Colm Quinnless, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. David Tracy sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Salia Sparta Club's Heron Gallagher got a good chance for a goal in the 83rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Colm Quinnless showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from David Tracy in the 86th minute of the match. Heron Gallagher fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bec Martyn having to interfere. In the 90th match minute, Drom Utd was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Beary McGlenn to maneuver through the defense. The corner led Salia Sparta Club's Gilbeirt Savic to fire away a dangerous shot which Bec Martyn despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball.
