Gearóid Duggan stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Becan Frankson's shot from short distance in the 33rd minute. Becan Frankson got in the 37th a clear chance and fired away a hard shot against goal, but Gearóid Duggan handled the situation perfectly and made a save by the crossbar. Alan McFrank received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Gearóid Duggan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Fethard's Gearóid Duggan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alan McFrank in the 40th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Fethard's zone, Alan McFrank stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gearóid Duggan came out of the goal and Alan McFrank tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Becan Frankson struck a weak shot in the 69th minute. Gearóid Duggan didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cloghernagh. In the 71st minute, Briain McOliver got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The supporters of Cloghernagh booed when Fethard was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 78 match minutes in a wonderful position. Seán Savic didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 79th minute of the match Brennon Cassin shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Gearóid Duggan showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Cloghernagh's Alan McFrank got a good chance for a goal in the 81st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Fethard's Gearóid Duggan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Becan Frankson in the 83rd minute of play. 84 minutes into the match, Fethard's goal looked a bit too open when Alan McFrank came free, but Gearóid Duggan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
