Spectators: 8085 (Terracing: 6065, Seating: 1859, VIP seats: 161) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Rylie Perth kicked off to start the match. Brady Molloy made an important save on a dangerous shot by Bel Martyn in the 9th minute. Gearóid Duggan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dawayne McVictor in the 12th minute of play. In the 16th match minute, Kilclare was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dawayne McVictor to maneuver through the defense. Gearóid Duggan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dawayne McVictor, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 25 minutes into the match, Kilclare's Dawayne McVictor sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Gearóid Duggan narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Donoghue Deery took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 27th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Gearóid Duggan. Fethard's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Rylie Perth fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gearóid Duggan having to interfere. Fethard's Gearóid Duggan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rylie Perth in the 36th minute of play. Briain McOliver sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Dawayne McVictor had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 45 minutes into the match, Rylie Perth had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Gearóid Duggan. Fethard's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Rylie Perth was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Briain McOliver to make the kick off. If Shane Dempsey had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Fethard's Gearóid Duggan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Shane Dempsey in the 53rd minute of play. Kevis Coyle's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Gearóid Duggan read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 54th minute of play. The supporters of Fethard booed when Kilclare was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kevis Coyle didn't get a good kick on the ball. 60 minutes into the game, Theodore McMichel was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Fethard's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Kilclare the free kick. After a defensive mix-up in Fethard's zone, Rylie Perth stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gearóid Duggan came out of the goal and Rylie Perth tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Kilclare's Dawayne McVictor got a good chance for a goal in the 72nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 75th minute, Rylie Perth got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Dawayne McVictor who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 78thth minute tested the skills of Gearóid Duggan when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Dawayne McVictor could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 80th minute of the match, but Gearóid Duggan made a huge save. Gearóid Duggan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rylie Perth in the 83rd minute of the match. Gearóid Duggan made a fantastic save in the 85th minute, when Dawayne McVictor sent off a good shot on target. If Bel Martyn had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 88th minute, Bodibeua Frankson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Dawayne McVictor received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Gearóid Duggan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 93rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Fethard's goalkeeper Gearóid Duggan, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The Fethard fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Kilclare were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
