Spectators: 7500 (Terracing: 6000, Seating: 1480, VIP seats: 20) Gearoid McGlenn started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. In the 6th minute Berk Rutherford shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cleary Grant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Conaghra getting a freekick after 7 minutes play. Bercan Ferguson hit a great ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Joshua Ramsey during the 8th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 8th minute, one of Conaghra:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Conaghra. 13 minutes into the match, Lissivigeen's Gearoid McGlenn sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Baodan Glen Crowe narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Lissivigeen's Cleary Grant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Desmond McSteve in the 15th minute of play. In the 18th minute Peadair Barrett shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cleary Grant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 19 minutes, Peadar McWill managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Lissivigeen's supporters crossed their fingers, but Peadar McWill was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a rather tough play, Conaghra's Berk Rutherford got a free kick in the 20th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gearoid McGlenn in the 22nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Baodan Glen Crowe prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 29th minute, Tipraite McBrand fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Baodan Glen Crowe, passed just outside the right post. The audience thought a goal was coming when Peadar McWill got free with Baodan Glen Crowe in the 31st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Peadar McWill during the 36th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 37th minute of the match Joshua Ramsey shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Cleary Grant showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Cleary Grant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Peadair Barrett, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 43rd minute, Peadair Barrett hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Cleary Grant stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Desmond McSteve's shot from short distance in the 45th minute. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Herne Byrne to make the kick off. In the 53rd minute, Gearoid McGlenn got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Lissivigeen's defense didn't have a chance, in the 56th minute, when Herne Byrne scored to the left of an out of position Cleary Grant, making the score, 2-3. Lissivigeen's Cleary Grant proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 66th minute of the match, managed to save Lissivigeen from getting a goal against them. After 68 played minutes Lissivigeen got a freekick which was hit by Brannagh Beckett. Cleary Grant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Herne Byrne in the 72nd minute of play. Lissivigeen's Peadar McWill got a good chance for a goal in the 73rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Tipraite McBrand had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lissivigeen's defense didn't have a chance, in the 77th minute, when Peadair Barrett scored to the left of an out of position Cleary Grant, making the score, 2-4. Cleary Grant came out of the goal in the 84th minute to try and stop a shot by Conaghra's Peadair Barrett. But to his dismay, Peadair Barrett quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-5. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tipraite McBrand in the 87th minute of play forced Conaghra's goalkeeper Baodan Glen Crowe to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Herne Byrne in the 91st minute of play forced Lissivigeen's goalkeeper Cleary Grant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Desmond McSteve received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Cleary Grant came out and tried to block the shot, but Desmond McSteve slotted it home off the left post making it 2-6 in the 92nd minute. Cleary Grant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Desmond McSteve in the 96th minute of the match.
