Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Herne Byrne started the match with the kick off. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Denny Rutherford in the 12th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Baodan Glen Crowe saved Conaghra from getting behind. A collision led to Conaghra getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. Desmond McSteve hit a great ball. Harold Delaney fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Baodan Glen Crowe having to interfere. Peadair Barrett sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Drumkeeran's Denny Rutherford got a good chance for a goal in the 28th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Drumkeeran's zone, Peadair Barrett stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Donelle McBrandon came out of the goal and Peadair Barrett tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Donelle McBrandon stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Herne Byrne's shot from short distance in the 34th minute. After some careless play in the Drumkeeran defense, Herne Byrne kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Donelle McBrandon. The Drumkeeran fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Donelle McBrandon should have stopped the shot. After 40 played minutes, Drumkeeran's Torran Murphy shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Baodan Glen Crowe came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Drumkeeran reached it. Denny Rutherford's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Baodan Glen Crowe read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 44th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Drumkeeran's zone, Peadair Barrett stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Donelle McBrandon came out of the goal and Peadair Barrett tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.

If Harold Delaney had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Drumkeeran booed when Conaghra was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Berk Rutherford didn't get a good kick on the ball. Drumkeeran's Denny Rutherford got a good chance for a goal in the 65th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After having played for 67 minutes, Herne Byrne managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Conaghra's supporters crossed their fingers, but Herne Byrne was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 69 minutes into the match, Conaghra's goal looked a bit too open when Denny Rutherford came free, but Baodan Glen Crowe reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Harold Delaney sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 72 minutes, Terence McWillie mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Conaghra and the Drumkeeran players grew even worse after the yellow card. Terence McWillie kicked well hit freekick during the 72nd minute of the match. 73 minutes into the game, Herne Byrne was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Conaghra's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Drumkeeran the free kick. Herne Byrne hit a great freekick 74 minutes into the match. Baodan Glen Crowe showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Harold Delaney, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. Harold Delaney received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Baodan Glen Crowe tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 86th minute, Berk Rutherford hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Baodan Glen Crowe didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Denny Rutherford went, in the 87th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-2 was the resulting score. Harold Delaney fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Baodan Glen Crowe having to interfere. In the 94th minute, Cacey Benson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the match had gone on for 97 minutes, Denny Rutherford put it in 3-2 from a short distance just to the right of Baodan Glen Crowe. For all the effort they put into the match, the Conaghra players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Drumkeeran.
