With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gearóid Doyle in the 3rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Pat Harkin saved Illanbaun Utd from getting behind. Pat Harkin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Reidy Costello in the 4th minute of the match. Illanbaun Utd's Pat Harkin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Torrey Rogers in the 8th minute of play. In the 11thth minute of the game Reidy Costello who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Illanbaun Utd's Pat Harkin was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Pat Harkin came out of the goal in the 13th minute to try and stop a shot by Rosmult's Reidy Costello. But to his dismay, Reidy Costello quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. After a rather tough play, Rosmult's Torrey Rogers got a free kick in the 17th minute. If Reidy Costello had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Pat Harkin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gearóid Doyle, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. In the 31st minute, Gearóid Doyle left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Rosmult fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. Conaill Frankson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 37thth minute of the game Gearóid Doyle who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Illanbaun Utd's Pat Harkin was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 38 minutes had been played when some careless play by Illanbaun Utd's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Tipraite McSteven was slow to take the kick. During this time Rosmult's players had a chance to rest. The corner ended in Tipraite McSteven almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Illanbaun Utd's Pat Harkin did a great save. 41 minutes into the match, Reidy Costello notched a goal, 0-3, to the right of Illanbaun Utd's Pat Harkin. Pat Harkin was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Thanks to some nice moves Cleary Mulvihill could shoot a difficult shot in the 46th minute, which Derry Hughes however easily saved by the left post. Pat Harkin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Reidy Costello, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-3 lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Gearóid Doyle to strike the kick off in the second half. 51 minutes into the match, Illanbaun Utd's Cleary Mulvihill sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Derry Hughes narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Derry Hughes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cleary Mulvihill in the 55th minute of the match. Conaill Frankson could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 58th minute of the match, but Pat Harkin made a huge save. 63 minutes into the game, Rosmult's Gearóid Doyle nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Pat Harkin made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-4. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gearóid Doyle in the 69th minute of play forced Illanbaun Utd's goalkeeper Pat Harkin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 72 minutes, Torrey Rogers made it 0-5 with a short kick to the right side. Illanbaun Utd's Pat Harkin tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Pat Harkin didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Rosmult's Torrey Rogers shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 0-6 in the ordered_time% minute. Cleary Mulvihill kicked well hit freekick during the 85th minute of the match. 87 minutes into the match, Gearóid Doyle dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Pat Harkin, 0-7. Illanbaun Utd's Pat Harkin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gearóid Doyle in the 91st minute of play. In the 93rd match minute, Illanbaun Utd was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dane Doyle to maneuver through the defense. Gearóid Doyle could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 95th minute of the match, but Pat Harkin made a huge save. Illanbaun Utd's Dane Doyle got his second yellow card of the match in the 96th minute. The referee ordered Dane Doyle off the ground. The supporters of Rosmult booed when Illanbaun Utd was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 96 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dane Doyle didn't get a good kick on the ball. Pat Harkin was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 97th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Tipraite McSteven. The Illanbaun Utd fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Rosmult were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
