Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Bradley Palmer started the match with the kick off. After 3 minutes, Banan John mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Cavetown and the Carrowduff players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 3rd match minute, Cavetown was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Banan John to maneuver through the defense. Tomás Ramsey made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Banan John in the 9th minute of play. In the 9th match minute, Carrowduff was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Becan McIan to maneuver through the defense. In the 10th minute of the match Trien Cassin shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Tomás Ramsey showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 21st match minute, Carrowduff was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bercnan Palmer to maneuver through the defense. In the 30th minute Don McSteve shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tomás Ramsey saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 31 minutes, Pauric Gollogley mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Cavetown and the Carrowduff players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 37 minutes of play, Cavetown's Barra McLaughlin made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Tomás Ramsey was left in no man's land by his defense there! 42 minutes into the match, Cavetown's goal looked a bit too open when Derrick Byrne came free, but Terrence Johnson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Derrick Byrne to strike the kick off in the second half. After 52 minutes, Derrick Byrne made it 2-1 with a short kick to the right side. Cavetown's Terrence Johnson tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. 57 minutes into the game, Barra McLaughlin recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Tomás Ramsey. Barra McLaughlin showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-2. Don McSteve received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Tomás Ramsey tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Carrowduff booed when Cavetown was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pauric Gollogley didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 66th minute, Cavetown's Barra McLaughlin ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Tomás Ramsey. Tomás Ramsey yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-3. In the 70th match minute, Carrowduff was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Derrick Byrne to maneuver through the defense. When Gil Lester fell near the penalty area in the 72nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Carrowduff's protests and gave Gil Lester a yellow card for diving instead. In the 73rd minute, Gil Lester hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Bercnan Palmer's late challenge caught a Cavetown's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Bercnan Palmer helped the player get up and apologised. When Gerald Dimson fell near the penalty area in the 79th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Carrowduff's protests and gave Gerald Dimson a yellow card for diving instead. In the 79th match minute, Carrowduff was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gerald Dimson to maneuver through the defense. The audience thought it was a sure goal in the 81st minute, when Cavetown's Pauric Gollogley after having done a great run through the defense got himself free with Tomás Ramsey in Carrowduff's goal and fired away a shot, but it missed the goal by a fraction of an inch. After 82 minutes of play Carrowduff's Bercnan Palmer was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. Bercnan Palmer hit a great freekick 82 minutes into the match. When Derrick Byrne fell near the penalty area in the 84th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Carrowduff's protests and gave Derrick Byrne a yellow card for diving instead. In the 84th minute, Derrick Byrne hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Don McSteve sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After having played for 89 minutes, Barra McLaughlin managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cavetown's supporters crossed their fingers, but Barra McLaughlin was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 92nd minute, Carrowduff's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Banan John fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. When the match was over Cavetown could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Carrowduff throughout the match.
