In the 5th minute, Baird Gillmour got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Baird Gillmour sent away a hard shot on goal in the 7th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 9th minute, Kevion Dillon hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gill Dimson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Finnigan Silke tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Finnigan Silke showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gill Dimson in the 20th minute of the match. After 22 played minutes Clonarrow got a freekick which was hit by Branson McDonald. Finnigan Silke came out of the goal in the 31st minute to try and stop a shot by Glenieraragh's Gill Dimson. But to his dismay, Gill Dimson quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. 38 minutes into the match, Glenieraragh's Gill Dimson sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Finnigan Silke narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Gill Dimson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Finnigan Silke tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gill Dimson struck a weak shot in the 47th minute. Finnigan Silke didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Glenieraragh. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Branson McDonald was the one to do the kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 52nd minute, Bevin McJames managed to get in a good position for a shot. Clonarrow's supporters rose to their feet, but Bevin McJames was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Britain Barrett breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a rather tough play, Clonarrow's Kevion Dillon got a free kick in the 57th minute. Gill Dimson was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 61st minute. Glenieraragh's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Baird Gillmour succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 0-3 in the 63rd playminute. A collision led to Clonarrow getting a freekick after 69 minutes play. Beatty MaCollin hit a great ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Baird Gillmour got free with Finnigan Silke in the 72nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Britain Barrett took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Branson McDonald, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Bevin McJames had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bevin McJames received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Britain Barrett tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Paudraig Lavine's late challenge caught a Clonarrow's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Paudraig Lavine helped the player get up and apologised. Paudraig Lavine hit a great freekick 81 minutes into the match. A hard shot 85 in the game by Baird Gillmour from a close distance when the talented Finnigan Silke managed to make a qualified save. Clonarrow's players were relieved. When the match was over Glenieraragh could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Clonarrow throughout the match.
