After some fancy dribbling in the 7th minute, Donncha Costello managed to get in a good position for a shot. Tooclae F.C.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Donncha Costello was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Art McSteven breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Kevion Mulvihill took the ball and in the 11 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Conaill Hughes. Conaill Hughes dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. If Dewayne John had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Desmond McPhilip's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Art McSteven read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 20th minute of play. Donncha Costello blasted a shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Art McSteven having to make a save. Dewayne John fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Conaill Hughes having to interfere. If Dewayne John had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 30th match minute, Tooclae F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fionntán McJohnny to maneuver through the defense. Kevion Mulvihill received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Conaill Hughes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the match clock showed 33 minutes, the score became 1-2 when Dewayne John sped through Tooclae F.C.'s defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Conaill Hughes. Conaill Hughes made a fantastic save in the 60th minute, when Dewayne John sent off a good shot on target. Kevion Mulvihill sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Conaill Hughes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kevion Mulvihill, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. When the final whistle sounded Monasterevin left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Tooclae F.C..
