In the 14th match minute, FC Barca Cork was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Glenn McJon to maneuver through the defense. Donncha Costello received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Phillip McPhil tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Kevion Mullan kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. In the 29th minute of the match Derry Ghee shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Phillip McPhil showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Phillip McPhil didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Tooclae F.C.'s Desmond McPhilip shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 1-1 in the ordered_time% minute. If Donncha Costello had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some careless play in the Tooclae F.C. defense, Glenn McJon kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Conaill Hughes. The Tooclae F.C. fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Conaill Hughes should have stopped the shot. In the 48th match minute, Tooclae F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Derry Ghee to maneuver through the defense.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Teddy McStephen to strike the kick off in the second half. Austin Branson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Phillip McPhil tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 69 minutes into the match, FC Barca Cork's goal looked a bit too open when Donncha Costello came free, but Phillip McPhil reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. FC Barca Cork's Phillip McPhil played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Donncha Costello in the 72nd minute of play. If Teddy McStephen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 77 minutes into the game, FC Barca Cork's Teddy McStephen nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Conaill Hughes made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-1. Donncha Costello recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 80th minute. The audience was convinced that Desmond McPhilip's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Phillip McPhil was relentless in the 97th minute of the game.
