Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Fionntán McGlynn made the kick off and thus started the match. Iarla Colwell made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Trien McMichel in the 6th minute of play. 10 minutes into the game, Louis McTom was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Ranaghy's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Callan the free kick. After 10 played minutes Ranaghy got a freekick which was hit by Louis McTom. 23 minutes into the match, Ranaghy's goal looked a bit too open when Trien McMichel came free, but Iarla Colwell reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In a very dangerous position, a player in Ranaghy fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 24th minute. Penalty! Rorry Moran fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Boethis McGlenn having to interfere. A collision led to Callan getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Blar Hughes hit a great ball. A collision led to Ranaghy getting a freekick after 38 minutes play. Alfred McJon hit a great ball. A collision led to Callan getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Giles Sheridan hit a great ball. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Trien McMichel to make the kick off. Boethis McGlenn came out of the goal in the 52nd minute to try and stop a shot by Ranaghy's Fionntán McGlynn. But to his dismay, Fionntán McGlynn quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Fionntán McGlynn might have been able to make a better finish in the 56th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Boethis McGlenn. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Fionntán McGlynn ran back to his position shaking his head. Brendan McSteve made in the 61st minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Callan's Giles Sheridan. After 63 played minutes Ranaghy got a freekick which was hit by Alfred McJon. Callan's Troy McOliver pulled a muscle in his leg after 66 minutes and couldn't finish the game. When Bellaghy McBrand fell near the penalty area in the 66th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ranaghy's protests and gave Bellaghy McBrand a yellow card for diving instead. Callan made a substitution. Bragan Coyle replaced Troy McOliver. Bellaghy McBrand kicked well hit freekick during the 68th minute of the match. The throw-in from Becc Silke in the 71st minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Ranaghy's Brendan McSteve. In the 80th minute, Ranaghy's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Trien McMichel fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Payton McSteve's late challenge caught a Callan's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Payton McSteve helped the player get up and apologised. After some fancy dribbling in the 90th minute, Trien McMichel managed to get in a good position for a shot. Callan's supporters rose to their feet, but Trien McMichel was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Iarla Colwell breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ranaghy succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Callan had controlled the match.
