Baran McJohnny started the match with the kick off. After a rather tough play, Stamullin's Raonall Gallagher got a free kick in the 7th minute. In the 9th minute, Bowen Jameson made a precise shot to the right of Britain Ryan. Stamullin's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Britain Ryan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bowen Jameson in the 16th minute of play. Dinny McLiam showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Baran McJohnny in the 19th minute of the match. Shannon Ferguson hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. Bram Horgan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dinny McLiam having to interfere. A collision led to Ray getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Shannon Ferguson hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Stamullin's zone, Barr McJohnny stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Britain Ryan came out of the goal and Barr McJohnny tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 34 played minutes Stamullin got a freekick which was hit by Blathmac McPhilip. Barr McJohnny struck a weak shot in the 36th minute. Britain Ryan didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ray. Britain Ryan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bowen Jameson in the 37th minute of play. Baran McJohnny fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dinny McLiam having to interfere. In the 46th minute Baran McJohnny shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dinny McLiam saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

With a couple of smart ball manuevers Shannon Ferguson in the 53rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Britain Ryan saved Stamullin from getting behind. Barr McJohnnys short, quick shot in the 56thth minute got Britain Ryan to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Blathmac McPhilip during the 56th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Stamullin's Britain Ryan proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 60th minute of the match, managed to save Stamullin from getting a goal against them. When Gearóid Gallagher fell near the penalty area in the 60th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Stamullin's protests and gave Gearóid Gallagher a yellow card for diving instead. Barr McJohnny received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Britain Ryan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Barr McJohnny could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 66th minute of the match, but Britain Ryan made a huge save. Barr McJohnny fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Britain Ryan having to interfere. If Barr McJohnny had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 76 played minutes Stamullin got a freekick which was hit by Irwin Silke. Breannain Sheridan could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 79th minute of the match, but Britain Ryan made a huge save. Baran McJohnny kicked well hit freekick during the 80th minute of the match. Bowen Jameson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Britain Ryan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Stamullin's Britain Ryan proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 85th minute of the match, managed to save Stamullin from getting a goal against them. Bowen Jameson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Britain Ryan having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 88th minute, Barr McJohnny managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ray's supporters rose to their feet, but Barr McJohnny was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Britain Ryan breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Barr McJohnny received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Britain Ryan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Britain Ryan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bowen Jameson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
