Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Harrigan Bayes got the match started through his kick off. Patrick Deans made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Troy Morrison in the 4th minute of play. Patrick Deans came out of the goal in the 6th minute to try and stop a shot by Victoria Crossers's Scot McTommy. But to his dismay, Scot McTommy quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. After 11 played minutes Victoria Crossers got a freekick which was hit by Brenden Lester. After a defensive mix-up in Victoria Crossers's zone, Harrigan Bayes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Benedict Delaney came out of the goal and Harrigan Bayes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a defensive mix-up in Rathcool's zone, Barram Tracy stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Patrick Deans came out of the goal and Barram Tracy tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Rathcool's Patrick Deans proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 21st minute of the match, managed to save Rathcool from getting a goal against them. Ross Tracy hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. In the 26th minute, Breck Scully hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Rathcool's Dermod Mulvihill quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Ross Tracy, made in the 34th minute of the game. In the 36th minute, Triain McWillie hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Rathcool's Harrigan Bayes got a good chance for a goal in the 38th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Breck Scully in the 41st minute of play forced Victoria Crossers's goalkeeper Benedict Delaney to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 42nd match minute, Rathcool was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Breck Scully to maneuver through the defense. 44 minutes into the game, Aubrey Glen Crowe was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Rathcool's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Victoria Crossers the free kick. In the 47th minute, Breck Scully hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Rowland Rutherford to make the kick off. Harrigan Bayes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Benedict Delaney tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Victoria Crossers getting a freekick after 69 minutes play. Rowland Rutherford hit a great ball. After 71 played minutes Victoria Crossers got a freekick which was hit by Breffni McGlynn. Benedict Delaney made a fantastic save in the 74th minute, when Irwin McSteve sent off a good shot on target. Aubrey Glen Crowe kicked well hit freekick during the 75th minute of the match. The supporters of Victoria Crossers booed when Rathcool was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dermod Mulvihill didn't get a good kick on the ball. Irwin McSteve's late challenge caught a Victoria Crossers's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Irwin McSteve helped the player get up and apologised. Irwin McSteve kicked well hit freekick during the 80th minute of the match. Scot McTommy sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Aaden McJames was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 93 minutes into the match. A collision led to Rathcool getting a freekick after 93 minutes play. Aaden McJames hit a great ball. Donagh Scully's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Patrick Deans read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 95th minute of play. Blaire Rutherford received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 97th minute. Patrick Deans tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. For all the effort they put into the match, the Rathcool players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Victoria Crossers.
