Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Gordan Martyn made the kick off which started today's match. 3 minutes into the game, Conleth Brennan was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Ballinakill AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave TheIdealAttack the free kick. If Rollan McFrancise had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 4th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Randal McSteven came out of the goal in the 7th minute to try and stop a shot by Ballinakill AFC's Andrew Rutherford. But to his dismay, Andrew Rutherford quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Andrew Rutherford might have been able to make a better finish in the 12th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Randal McSteven. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Andrew Rutherford ran back to his position shaking his head. Randal McSteven took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gordan Martyn, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. TheIdealAttack's Randal McSteven played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gordan Martyn in the 21st minute of play. 22 minutes had been played when some careless play by TheIdealAttack's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Baydan Frankson was slow to take the kick. During this time Ballinakill AFC's players had a chance to rest. Baydan Frankson made a great header on Ballinakill AFC's corner, it was just that TheIdealAttack's Randal McSteven managed to reach the ball for a save. In the 24thth minute of the game Gordan Martyn who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but TheIdealAttack's Randal McSteven was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Andrew Rutherford in the 30th minute of play forced TheIdealAttack's goalkeeper Randal McSteven to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. TheIdealAttack's Randal McSteven played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Andrew Rutherford in the 31st minute of play. 33 minutes into the match, Andrew Rutherford had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Randal McSteven. TheIdealAttack's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Andrew Rutherford was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. Gordan Martyn succeeded in the game's 41st minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 0-4. In the 44th minute, Conleth Brennan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After the first half Ballinakill AFC were leading 0-4. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Aengus Cassin to make the kick off. Lorcan McPaul hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. After 57 played minutes Ballinakill AFC got a freekick which was hit by Conleth Brennan. A hard shot 61 in the game by Andrew Rutherford from a close distance when the talented Randal McSteven managed to make a qualified save. TheIdealAttack's players were relieved. 65 minutes into the match, Ballinakill AFC's Gordan Martyn sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Randal McSteven narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Gordan Martyn recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 67th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When the match had gone on for 74 minutes, Gordan Martyn took a quick shot and it went in 0-5 without a chance for Randal McSteven to make any attempt to save it. The crowd rose to their feet as Ballinakill AFC's Gordan Martyn slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Randal McSteven. That made the score 0-6 after 79 minutes of play. TheIdealAttack's Randal McSteven played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gordan Martyn in the 83rd minute of play. TheIdealAttack's Rollan McFrancise got a good chance for a goal in the 85th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 88th minute of the game. One of TheIdealAttack:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Ballinakill AFC:s goal. Randal McSteven had in the 91stth minute some difficulties stopping Baydan Frankson's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Baydan Frankson took the ball and in the 91 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Randal McSteven. Randal McSteven dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-7. Gordan Martyn sent away a hard shot on goal in the 97th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The TheIdealAttack fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Ballinakill AFC were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
