After some careless play in the Derryrush Utd defense, Braydon McWilliam kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Piers Cronin. The Derryrush Utd fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Piers Cronin should have stopped the shot. When Sheriffhill's Boru Ramsey in the 60th minute got a chance for a shot 60th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Keelin McTom's late challenge caught a Derryrush Utd's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Keelin McTom helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Sheriffhill's Keelin McTom got a free kick in the 70th minute. If Boru Ramsey had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Becc McCollion showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Boudibiua Savic in the 83rd minute of the match. In the 86th minute, Derryrush Utd's Boudibiua Savic dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-3. 89 minutes into the game, Bartley McPhil was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Derryrush Utd's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Sheriffhill the free kick. In the 89th minute, Bartley McPhil hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Boru Ramsey in the 93rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Piers Cronin prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The Derryrush Utd players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
