Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Banon Dunne started the match with the kick off. With splendid footwork Banon Dunne arrived in front of goal to shoot 1-0 by the left pole in the game's 5th minute. Bodibeua Walker could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 12th minute of the match, but Biviti Costello made a huge save. After a defensive mix-up in Ballylangley's zone, Ryan McWill stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Breffni Benson came out of the goal and Ryan McWill tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Biviti Costello showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Banon Dunne in the 17th minute of the match. In the 21st minute Banon Dunne shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Biviti Costello saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gowlin's Biviti Costello proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 23rd minute of the match, managed to save Gowlin from getting a goal against them. Tady Kelly's late challenge caught a Gowlin's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Tady Kelly helped the player get up and apologised. In a very dangerous position, a player in Ballylangley fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 26th minute. Penalty! Breffni Benson went to the wrong direction when Bradagain McPhil was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. Biviti Costello stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Banon Dunne's shot from short distance in the 32nd minute. Bodibeua Walkers short, quick shot in the 36thth minute got Biviti Costello to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. A collision led to Gowlin getting a freekick after 37 minutes play. Flannery Sheridan hit a great ball. Beagan McFrank's late challenge caught a Ballylangley's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Beagan McFrank helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Ballylangley booed when Gowlin was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Beagan McFrank didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 43rd minute, Banon Dunne got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 46th minute, Banon Dunne fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Biviti Costello, passed just outside the right post. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ryan McWill stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Banon Dunne in the 52nd minute of play forced Gowlin's goalkeeper Biviti Costello to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Breffni Benson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ryan McWill in the 53rd minute of the match. Bodibeua Walker sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee gave Ballylangley a penalty, 58 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Donncha Keegan, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Gowlin's Biviti Costello. 2-0. 63 minutes into the game, Bodibeua Walker cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-0. Biviti Costello was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 72nd minute, Beagan McFrank hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience was convinced that Bodibeua Walker's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Biviti Costello was relentless in the 81st minute of the game. Banon Dunne scored 4-0 in the 86th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Biviti Costello, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Bodibeua Walker's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Biviti Costello read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 91st minute of play. In the 94th minute, Bodibeua Walker got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 98th minute, Bradagain McPhil hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Banon Dunne fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 99th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Biviti Costello having to interfere. Gowlin's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
