Darren Hughes made an important save on a dangerous shot by Donlevy Caffrey in the 15th minute. France's Gordon Barrett got a good chance for a goal in the 16th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 20th minute the ball was on its way in behind France's goalkeeper Darren Hughes, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 26thth minute of the game Braeden Gough who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but France's Darren Hughes was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Braeden Gough received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Darren Hughes came out and tried to block the shot, but Braeden Gough slotted it home off the left post making it 3-0 in the 28th minute. Darren Hughes stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Braeden Gough's shot from short distance in the 35th minute. The supporters of Malinowe Nosy booed when France was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Baiscend McWilliam didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 96th minute of the match Roy Holt sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Darren Hughes skillfully saved the ball. Malinowe Nosy's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
