The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The crowd rose to their feet as Bera Kirby kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Donegan Costello. That made the score 1-0 in the 3 minute of play. TheDaffyDuck's Rian Ramsey got a good chance for a goal in the 7th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Oliver Doyle had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 17 minutes of play, TheDaffyDuck's Rian Ramsey made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Darren Hughes was left in no man's land by his defense there! 21 minutes into the game, Oliver Doyle cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Darren Hughes was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Donegan Costello made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Peter Ferguson in the 25th minute of play. 26 minutes into the match, Baiscend McWilliam dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Donegan Costello, 2-2. Oliver Doyle fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Darren Hughes having to interfere. Donegan Costello showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bera Kirby, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. When France's Peter Ferguson in the 33rd minute got a chance for a shot 33rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye TheDaffyDuck's goalie prevented a goal. Thanks to some nice moves Gordon Barrett could shoot a difficult shot in the 34th minute, which Donegan Costello however easily saved by the left post. Ryon Martyn fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Darren Hughes having to interfere. If Oliver Doyle had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 42 minutes of play, TheDaffyDuck's Baiste Cassin made it 2-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Darren Hughes was left in no man's land by his defense there! Rian Ramsey sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Darren Hughes didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ryon Martyn went, in the 47th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-4 was the resulting score. The France players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. TheDaffyDuck were winning 2-4.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Rian Ramsey was the one to do the kick off. Donegan Costello showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gordon Barrett, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. If Baiste Cassin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gordon Barrett in the 57th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Donegan Costello prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Baiste Cassin hit a great freekick 58 minutes into the match. Peter Ferguson took the ball and in the 61 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Donegan Costello. Donegan Costello dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-4. Rian Ramsey sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 67th minute, Baiscend McWilliam hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 75 minutes into the match, Rian Ramsey dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Darren Hughes, 3-5. Donegan Costello made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gordon Barrett in the 82nd minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 88th minute, Oliver Doyle managed to get in a good position for a shot. TheDaffyDuck's supporters rose to their feet, but Oliver Doyle was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Darren Hughes breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Bil McWill had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ryon Martyn's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Darren Hughes read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 92nd minute of play. In the 93rd minute, Baiste Cassin fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Darren Hughes, passed just outside the right post. When the final whistle sounded TheDaffyDuck left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than France.
