Harley McGlenn sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some careless play in the Lurgan FC defense, Becc Lavine kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ultan Prunty. The Lurgan FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ultan Prunty should have stopped the shot. In the 37th match minute, Lurgan FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Boyne Rogers to maneuver through the defense. After 38 played minutes, Leifear's Rowan Deans shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Ultan Prunty came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Leifear reached it. After a defensive mix-up in Leifear's zone, Donavan Doyle stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Donegan McNamara came out of the goal and Donavan Doyle tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After the first half Leifear were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Harley McGlenn was the one to do the kick off. Harley McGlenn received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Donegan McNamara tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Donegan McNamara didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Donavan Doyle went, in the 60th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. 64 minutes into the game, Bearchan McCready recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Ultan Prunty. Bearchan McCready showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-2. If Donavan Doyle had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 69 minutes into the match, Leifear's goal looked a bit too open when Donavan Doyle came free, but Donegan McNamara reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 71st minute, Becc Lavine made a precise shot to the right of Ultan Prunty. Lurgan FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-3. Ultan Prunty took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bearchan McCready, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 79th minute, Becc Lavine fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Ultan Prunty, passed just outside the right post. Harley McGlenn sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 84th match minute, Leifear was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Torran Callaghan to maneuver through the defense. Rowan Deans hit a great freekick 88 minutes into the match. Becc Lavine fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ultan Prunty having to interfere. Donavan Doyle received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Donegan McNamara tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ultan Prunty took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bearchan McCready, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The Lurgan FC supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Leifear's performance. The match ended with a win for Leifear.
