In the 18th minute Batt Grant shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dónal Bayes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Bodenstown FC booed when Glanoe was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eoghan McWilliam didn't get a good kick on the ball. Riddoc Rogers took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 47th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Dónal Bayes. Bodenstown FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Batt Grant was the one to do the kick off. Bairrionn McWilliam hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. Batt Grant recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 61st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Bodenstown FC's Dónal Bayes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bressal McGlenn in the 80th minute of play. Bairrionn McWilliam charged in rather forcefully in the 80th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Bairrionn McWilliam the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 80th match minute, Bodenstown FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bairrionn McWilliam to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Glanoe's Bradley McJohnny got a free kick in the 83rd minute. Bressal McGlenn fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dónal Bayes having to interfere. Glanoe were unable to convert their possession into goals, allowing Bodenstown FC to leave the ground with a draw.
