Carrigdangan's Donald McStephen got a good chance for a goal in the 18th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The referee felt a red card was in order, 23 minutes into the game, when Torrian Cooney put in a rough tackle. 25 minutes in the game Bearnad Jameson got a great opportunity which he missed by shooting outside the goal. If Braden McNamee had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After having played for 31 minutes, Donald McStephen managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Carrigdangan's supporters crossed their fingers, but Donald McStephen was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Braden McNamee made in the 32nd minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Henry McPaul however managed to control. Donald McStephen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 40 minutes into the game, Ros McLian cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Danann McCready was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Donald McStephen in the 44th minute of play forced Up The Dubs's goalkeeper Danann McCready to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Danann McCready took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Donald McStephen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Kevinn Horgan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bercnan Kirby in the 47th minute of play.

After some careless play in the Carrigdangan defense, Henry McPaul kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Kevinn Horgan. The Carrigdangan fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Kevinn Horgan should have stopped the shot. After 62 minutes, Bivitas McIan mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Carrigdangan and the Up The Dubs players grew even worse after the yellow card. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bearnad Jameson in the 63rd minute of play forced Carrigdangan's goalkeeper Kevinn Horgan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 64th match minute, Carrigdangan was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Briain Frankson to maneuver through the defense. Up The Dubs's Bearnad Jameson got a good chance for a goal in the 65th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Kevinn Horgan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Henry McPaul in the 68th minute of the match. Donald McStephen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Danann McCready having to interfere. The supporters of Up The Dubs booed when Carrigdangan was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bivitas McIan didn't get a good kick on the ball. Bearnad Jameson might have been able to make a better finish in the 78th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Kevinn Horgan. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Bearnad Jameson ran back to his position shaking his head. 80 minutes into the match, Bevin Callaghan notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of Carrigdangan's Kevinn Horgan. Kevinn Horgan was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After some fancy dribbling in the 86th minute, Ros McLian managed to get in a good position for a shot. Carrigdangan's supporters rose to their feet, but Ros McLian was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Danann McCready breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 87th minute, Donald McStephen got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. A collision led to Up The Dubs getting a freekick after 88 minutes play. Barra Johnson hit a great ball. In the 95th minute Henry McPaul shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kevinn Horgan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Up The Dubs's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
