Seating: 1400, VIP seats: 150) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Henry McPaul took the kick off in the first half of the match. Henry Dalton charged in rather forcefully in the 4th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Henry Dalton the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 6th match minute, Clonyhague was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Casey Hughes to maneuver through the defense. After 9 minutes, Bearnad Doyle mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Clonyhague and the Up The Dubs players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 9 played minutes Clonyhague got a freekick which was hit by Bearnad Doyle. With his leg Todd Dempsey managed to avoid a goal in the 10thth minute, when Up The Dubs's Henry McPaul fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. When Brigid Savic fell near the penalty area in the 12th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Clonyhague's protests and gave Brigid Savic a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Clonyhague's Brigid Savic got a free kick in the 12th minute. Todd Dempsey was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Bevin Callaghan showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 13 minute of play. Breadan Bayes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Danann McCready tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Henry McPaul's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Todd Dempsey was relentless in the 20th minute of the game. Henry McPaul let the left foot speak when in front of goal in the 21st minute shot 2-0 at rihgt post. In the 25th play minute Braden McNamee came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Todd Dempsey. 3-0. Brigid Savic took the ball and in the 31 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Danann McCready. Danann McCready dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-1. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Henry Dalton in the 34th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Danann McCready prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Bercnan Kirby kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. Danann McCready made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Brigid Savic in the 38th minute of play. After 40 minutes of play, Clonyhague's Henry Dalton made it 3-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Danann McCready was left in no man's land by his defense there! Henry McPauls short, quick shot in the 44thth minute got Todd Dempsey to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Henry McPaul during the 48th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Brigid Savic was the one to do the kick off. Brenn McJohn's late challenge caught a Up The Dubs's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Brenn McJohn helped the player get up and apologised. The audience was convinced that Henry McPaul's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Todd Dempsey was relentless in the 60th minute of the game. After 62 played minutes Clonyhague got a freekick which was hit by Henry Dalton. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Henry McPaul in the 64th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Todd Dempsey saved Clonyhague from getting behind. After 64 minutes, Casey Hughes mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Clonyhague and the Up The Dubs players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 64th minute, Casey Hughes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 80thth minute of the game Henry McPaul who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Clonyhague's Todd Dempsey was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After a rather tough play, Up The Dubs's Henry McPaul got a free kick in the 82nd minute. 83 minutes into the match, Brigid Savic dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Danann McCready, 3-4. Danann McCready showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Brigid Savic in the 89th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Up The Dubs's Bercnan Kirby got a free kick in the 90th minute. Finian McJohn charged in rather forcefully in the 94th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Finian McJohn the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Bearnad Jameson, 95 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. After having played for 96 minutes, Henry McPaul managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Up The Dubs's supporters crossed their fingers, but Henry McPaul was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Clonyhague walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
