Donavon Lavine might have been able to make a better finish in the 4th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Teigue Crowe. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Donavon Lavine ran back to his position shaking his head. Dolgin FC's Donavon Lavine got a good chance for a goal in the 6th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Donavon Lavine struck a weak shot in the 12th minute. Teigue Crowe didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Dolgin FC. A collision led to Geevagh getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Barock McGlynn hit a great ball. Donavon Lavine recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 18th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Bat McSteven had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Babe Duggan kicked well hit freekick during the 22nd minute of the match. Bresal Johnson hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. A collision led to Dolgin FC getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Berchan Sheridan hit a great ball. The supporters of Geevagh booed when Dolgin FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Scothine Glen Crowe didn't get a good kick on the ball. Brett McJohnny made in the 37th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Beltany McDonald. After 40 played minutes Geevagh got a freekick which was hit by Cian Brennan. A collision led to Geevagh getting a freekick after 41 minutes play. Bresal Johnson hit a great ball. Barock McGlynn kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match. Dolgin FC's Devlin McTommy managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Cian Brennan in the 45 minute of the game. In the 47th minute Babe Duggan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rownun McNamee saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Donavon Lavine stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes into the game, Dolgin FC's Donavon Lavine nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Teigue Crowe made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. In the 60th minute, Geevagh's Babe Duggan dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-1. After some fancy dribbling in the 73rd minute, Donavon Lavine managed to get in a good position for a shot. Dolgin FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Donavon Lavine was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Teigue Crowe breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Scothine Glen Crowe charged in rather forcefully in the 76th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Scothine Glen Crowe the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 76 played minutes Dolgin FC got a freekick which was hit by Scothine Glen Crowe. Bat McSteven struck a weak shot in the 82nd minute. Rownun McNamee didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Geevagh. In the 87th minute, Roland Sheridan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Teigue Crowe made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ryan Sheridan in the 88th minute of play. Babe Duggan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rownun McNamee having to interfere. With an all-out effort, Geevagh's Rownun McNamee threw himself towards the right post 96 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Bat McSteven, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Chants of Geevagh echoed around the stadium as the match drew to a close. Supporters and players were both delighted with the win, as Dolgin FC had held the ball for most of the match.
