Harry Lavine kicked well hit freekick during the 15th minute of the match. Rowe Morrison came free with the goalkeeper in the 20th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Fintan Doherty could save by the left post. Enda Costello kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. When Dundalk FC's Oliver Robinson in the 27th minute got a chance for a shot 27th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Bunnagippaun's goalie prevented a goal. After 32 played minutes Bunnagippaun got a freekick which was hit by Timmons Ryan. After having played for 38 minutes, Oliver Robinson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Dundalk FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Oliver Robinson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Brain Walker received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Fintan Doherty tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The wind increased when Oliver Robinson made the kick off in the second half. When the match had gone on for 53 minutes, Oliver Robinson took a quick shot and it went in 0-1 without a chance for Bean Dempsey to make any attempt to save it. 59 minutes into the match, Dundalk FC's goal looked a bit too open when Bragan McWillie came free, but Fintan Doherty reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Dundalk FC's Sherlock Hunt got a free kick in the 68th minute. A collision led to Bunnagippaun getting a freekick after 75 minutes play. Gehan McCollion hit a great ball. Oliver Robinson received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Bean Dempsey came out and tried to block the shot, but Oliver Robinson slotted it home off the left post making it 0-2 in the 78th minute. In the 86th minute, Brain Walker made a precise shot to the right of Fintan Doherty. Dundalk FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. Fintan Doherty took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Brain Walker, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
