Carrigdangan's Kevinn Horgan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Batt Grant in the 9th minute of play. Kevinn Horgan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Batt Grant, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. 19 minutes into the game, Glanoe's Bradley McJohnny nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Rylee Hughes made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-6. Eoghan McWilliam recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 86th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The crowd rose to their feet as Bressal McGlenn kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Kevinn Horgan. That made the score 2-7 in the 88 minute of play. Batt Grant could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 94th minute of the match, but Kevinn Horgan made a huge save. After a defensive mix-up in Carrigdangan's zone, Bressal McGlenn stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Kevinn Horgan came out of the goal and Bressal McGlenn tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Tomás Branson charged in rather forcefully in the 99th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Tomás Branson the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 100th match minute, Carrigdangan was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tomás Branson to maneuver through the defense. Glanoe's Riddoc Rogers got a good chance for a goal in the 100th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The Carrigdangan fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Glanoe were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
