Declan Murphy could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 3rd minute of the match, but Bean Dempsey made a huge save. Bean Dempsey came out of the goal in the 6th minute to try and stop a shot by Bodenstown FC's Binnech Taylor. But to his dismay, Binnech Taylor quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Declan Murphy could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 9th minute of the match, but Bean Dempsey made a huge save. 13 minutes into the game, Brain Walker was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Bunnagippaun's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Bodenstown FC the free kick. The supporters of Bodenstown FC booed when Bunnagippaun was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Brain Walker didn't get a good kick on the ball. Dónal Bayes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bragan McWillie in the 16th minute of the match. Dónal Bayes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Brain Walker, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bragan McWillie in the 18th minute of play forced Bodenstown FC's goalkeeper Dónal Bayes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Through an outstanding action, after 19 minutes, Bean Dempsey successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Declan Murphy kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. In the 24th minute, Bodenstown FC's Declan Murphy ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Bean Dempsey. Bean Dempsey yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-0. 29 minutes into the match, Bodenstown FC's goal looked a bit too open when Brain Walker came free, but Dónal Bayes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 30 minutes into the match, Bunnagippaun's goalkeeper Bean Dempsey had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Declan Murphy. Bean Dempsey took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Declan Murphy, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Bean Dempsey made an important save on a dangerous shot by Declan Murphy in the 46th minute. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

The audience thought a goal was coming when Rowe Morrison got free with Dónal Bayes in the 54th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Dónal Bayes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Brain Walker, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Declan Murphy received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Bean Dempsey tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Bean Dempsey showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Binnech Taylor, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. Bean Dempsey took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Declan Murphy, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 83rd minute of the match Barin Hamilton shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Dónal Bayes showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. The supporters of Bunnagippaun booed when Bodenstown FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 84 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bairrionn McWilliam didn't get a good kick on the ball. Dónal Bayes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bragan McWillie in the 89th minute of the match. After 89 played minutes Bodenstown FC got a freekick which was hit by Bairrionn McWilliam. In the 93rd minute, Rowe Morrison fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Dónal Bayes, passed just outside the right post. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Bodenstown FC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Bunnagippaun had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
