Spectators: 7550 (Terracing: 6000, Seating: 1400, VIP seats: 150) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Henry McPaul kicked off to start the match. 5 minutes into the match, Up The Dubs's goal looked a bit too open when Bairrionn McWilliam came free, but Danann McCready reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 6th minute, Bairrionn McWilliam ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Danann McCready was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. After a defensive mix-up in Up The Dubs's zone, Declan Murphy stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Danann McCready came out of the goal and Declan Murphy tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Up The Dubs's Danann McCready played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Binnech Taylor in the 12th minute of play. Braden McNamee fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dónal Bayes having to interfere. After 20 played minutes Bodenstown FC got a freekick which was hit by Bairrionn McWilliam. When the match had been going on for 23 minutes, Up The Dubs's Bearnad Jameson got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Dónal Bayes. After having played for 28 minutes, Bercnan Kirby managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Up The Dubs's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bercnan Kirby was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Bevin Callaghan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Dónal Bayes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Henry McPaul in the 30th minute of the match. Danann McCready took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bairrionn McWilliam, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 36 minutes into the match, Bodenstown FC's goal looked a bit too open when Henry McPaul came free, but Dónal Bayes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Danann McCready showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Declan Murphy, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. The Up The Dubs players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Bodenstown FC were winning 1-2.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Binnech Taylor stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 54 minutes into the game, Bodenstown FC's Binnech Taylor nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Danann McCready made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-3. Brite Palmer received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Danann McCready tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Up The Dubs's zone, Declan Murphy stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Danann McCready came out of the goal and Declan Murphy tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of Up The Dubs booed when Bodenstown FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 61 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bairrionn McWilliam didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 61st minute of the match Bearnad Jameson sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Dónal Bayes skillfully saved the ball. Bevin Callaghan struck a weak shot in the 63rd minute. Dónal Bayes didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Up The Dubs. Bhrighde Scully's late challenge caught a Up The Dubs's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Bhrighde Scully helped the player get up and apologised. After recieving a nice pass, Up The Dubs's Bearnad Jameson tried to score from far away in the 65th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. The supporters of Up The Dubs booed when Bodenstown FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bairne McAaron didn't get a good kick on the ball. Binnech Taylor could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 70th minute of the match, but Danann McCready made a huge save. In the 73rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Up The Dubs's goalkeeper Danann McCready, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Binnech Taylor in the 78th minute of play forced Up The Dubs's goalkeeper Danann McCready to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Bodenstown FC's Bairrionn McWilliam got a free kick in the 86th minute. After 90 minutes of play, Up The Dubs's Henry McPaul made it 2-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Dónal Bayes was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 96th minute of the match, Declan Murphy got a very nice opportunity to score, but Danann McCready was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Bodenstown FC eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
