Geary McCollion charged in rather forcefully in the 3rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Geary McCollion the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. 3 minutes into the game, one of Moylough:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Bean Kelly's late challenge caught a Bunnagippaun's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Bean Kelly helped the player get up and apologised. In the 9th minute, Bean Kelly hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, Moylough's Leonard Dimson got a free kick in the 12th minute. Breandan Hutton made a great header on Moylough's corner, it was just that Bunnagippaun's Bean Dempsey managed to reach the ball for a save. If Torin Beckett had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 22 minutes into the match, Bunnagippaun's goal looked a bit too open when Leonard Dimson came free, but Bean Dempsey reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 23 played minutes Bunnagippaun got a freekick which was hit by Barin Hamilton. Torin Beckett fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bean Dempsey having to interfere. The Moylough fans' excitement grew in the 35th match minute when Moylough's Leonard Dimson looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Moylough's Bean Kelly got his second yellow card of the match in the 42nd minute. The referee ordered Bean Kelly off the ground. Bragan McWillie could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 45th minute of the match, but Braydon McSteve made a huge save. 47 minutes into the match, Bunnagippaun's Brain Walker sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Braydon McSteve narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Bean Dempsey made a fantastic save in the 51st minute, when Torin Beckett sent off a good shot on target. In the 54th minute, Torin Beckett got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Torin Beckett struck a weak shot in the 56th minute. Bean Dempsey didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Moylough. Bean Dempsey made an important save on a dangerous shot by Torin Beckett in the 57th minute. If Derry Prunty had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 66 minutes, Torin Beckett managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Moylough's supporters crossed their fingers, but Torin Beckett was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Torin Beckett had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Derry Prunty sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Bearach Tracy received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Bean Dempsey tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet as Derry Prunty kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Bean Dempsey. That made the score 1-2 in the 73 minute of play. Patrick Gough kicked well hit freekick during the 78th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 81st minute, Brain Walker managed to get in a good position for a shot. Bunnagippaun's supporters rose to their feet, but Brain Walker was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Braydon McSteve breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Braydon McSteve showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bragan McWillie, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. Torin Beckett received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Bean Dempsey tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
