Clonyhague's Todd Dempsey proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 11th minute of the match, managed to save Clonyhague from getting a goal against them. The audience thought a goal was coming when Baiscend Frankson got free with Todd Dempsey in the 17th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Henry Dalton had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 20th minute, Baiscend Frankson made a precise shot to the right of Todd Dempsey. Clonyhague's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. Henry Dalton fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Quinn McBjarton having to interfere. 38 minutes into the match, Clonyhague's goal looked a bit too open when Pearson McLian came free, but Todd Dempsey reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Todd Dempsey made an important save on a dangerous shot by Baiscend Frankson in the 40th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Baiscend Frankson got free with Todd Dempsey in the 45th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Baiscend Frankson to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute Baiscend Frankson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Todd Dempsey saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 54th minute Baiscend Frankson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Todd Dempsey saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 54 minutes into the game, Baiscend Frankson cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Todd Dempsey was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The throw-in from Richard Costello in the 60th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Limerick AFC's Aubrey Robinson. Aubrey Robinson's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Todd Dempsey read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 60th minute of play. Casey Hughes kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. Todd Dempsey made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Baiscend Frankson in the 65th minute of play. Baiscend Frankson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Bearnad Doyle kicked well hit freekick during the 70th minute of the match. Todd Dempsey showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Baiscend Frankson in the 71st minute of the match. When Limerick AFC's Baiscend Frankson in 74 game minutes managed to cut through with the ball in front of the goal, only having to shoot. Todd Dempsey guarding the goal like a pit bull was extremely focused and managed to reach the ball just by the crossbar before it went in. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Baiscend Frankson in the 75th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Todd Dempsey saved Clonyhague from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Henry Dalton in the 78th minute of play forced Limerick AFC's goalkeeper Quinn McBjarton to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Todd Dempsey came out of the goal in the 81st minute to try and stop a shot by Limerick AFC's Pearson McLian. But to his dismay, Pearson McLian quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. After a rather tough play, Limerick AFC's Bivadas McCready got a free kick in the 83rd minute. Quinn McBjarton made a fantastic save in the 86th minute, when Heron McBrandon sent off a good shot on target. Henry Dalton received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Quinn McBjarton came out and tried to block the shot, but Henry Dalton slotted it home off the left post making it 3-1 in the 88th minute. 90 minutes into the game, Todd McNamee was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Limerick AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Clonyhague the free kick. A collision led to Limerick AFC getting a freekick after 90 minutes play. Todd McNamee hit a great ball. Thanks to some nice moves Heron McBrandon could shoot a difficult shot in the 92nd minute, which Quinn McBjarton however easily saved by the left post. If Baiscend Frankson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Baiscend Frankson in the 96th minute of play forced Clonyhague's goalkeeper Todd Dempsey to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Limerick AFC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
