Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Damian Dalton took the kick off in the first half of the match. Teigue Crowe showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Damian Dalton in the 3rd minute of the match. A collision led to Geevagh getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. Brendanus Perth hit a great ball. Babe Duggan scored 1-0 in the 18th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Roland Dimson, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After 21 played minutes Geevagh got a freekick which was hit by Barock McGlynn. 23 minutes into the match, Letterlough's goalkeeper Roland Dimson had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Bat McSteven. Bodibeve Glen Crowe's late challenge caught a Geevagh's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Bodibeve Glen Crowe helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Letterlough's Bodibeve Glen Crowe got a free kick in the 28th minute. In the 30th minute of the match, Babe Duggan got a very nice opportunity to score, but Roland Dimson was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. A collision led to Geevagh getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. Barock McGlynn hit a great ball. The supporters of Geevagh booed when Letterlough was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Damian Dalton didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 39th minute, Barde Silke ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Teigue Crowe was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. After a defensive mix-up in Letterlough's zone, Babe Duggan stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Roland Dimson came out of the goal and Babe Duggan tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Babe Duggan made a kick off. After a rather tough play, Geevagh's Ultan McIan got a free kick in the 50th minute. With a little luck, Geevagh's Teigue Crowe got control of the ball when Reidy Lavine tried to sneak it across the goal line. The supporters of Geevagh booed when Letterlough was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rollin McFrancise didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the match had gone on for 65 minutes, Barde Silke took a quick shot and it went in 1-2 without a chance for Teigue Crowe to make any attempt to save it. After 76 played minutes Geevagh got a freekick which was hit by Barock McGlynn. When Roland Sheridan fell near the penalty area in the 78th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Geevagh's protests and gave Roland Sheridan a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Letterlough booed when Geevagh was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Roland Sheridan didn't get a good kick on the ball. Roland Dimson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bat McSteven, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Roland Dimson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Babe Duggan, who was totally free with the ball in the 84th minute. After a rather tough play, Geevagh's Barock McGlynn got a free kick in the 85th minute. Through an outstanding action, after 91 minutes, Teigue Crowe successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. After 91 minutes, Bat McSteven mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Geevagh and the Letterlough players grew even worse after the yellow card. Bat McSteven kicked well hit freekick during the 91st minute of the match. Roland Dimson came out of the goal in the 94th minute to try and stop a shot by Geevagh's Babe Duggan. But to his dismay, Babe Duggan quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-3. When the final whistle sounded Letterlough left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Geevagh.
