Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Rowe Morrison took the kick off in the first half of the match. In the 3rd minute Babe Duggan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bean Dempsey saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Babe Duggan in the 8th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Bean Dempsey saved Bunnagippaun from getting behind. Bean Dempsey came out of the goal in the 12th minute to try and stop a shot by Geevagh's Barock McGlynn. But to his dismay, Barock McGlynn quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. In the 15th minute, Brain Hughes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 18 minutes into the match, Geevagh's Babe Duggan sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Bean Dempsey narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Babe Duggan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Bunnagippaun's Bean Dempsey played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Babe Duggan in the 19th minute of play. After having played for 21 minutes, Babe Duggan managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Geevagh's supporters crossed their fingers, but Babe Duggan was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Babe Duggan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Bean Dempsey tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The Geevagh fans' excitement grew in the 39th match minute when Geevagh's Babe Duggan looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After a rather tough play, Geevagh's Roland Sheridan got a free kick in the 43rd minute. Rowe Morrison hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match.

The wind increased when Babe Duggan made the kick off in the second half. Babe Duggan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Teigue Crowe made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bragan McWillie in the 55th minute of play. Bresal Johnson's late challenge caught a Bunnagippaun's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Bresal Johnson helped the player get up and apologised. Bresal Johnson kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. 57 minutes into the match, Bunnagippaun's Brain Walker broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Barock McGlynn kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. Teigue Crowe showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Brain Walker, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. 63 minutes into the game, Babe Duggan recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Bean Dempsey. Babe Duggan showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-3. With a little luck, Bunnagippaun's Bean Dempsey got control of the ball when Babe Duggan tried to sneak it across the goal line. Bragan McWillie sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Geevagh getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Bat McSteven hit a great ball. Teigue Crowe took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bragan McWillie, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Barock McGlynn fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bean Dempsey having to interfere. Brain Hughes charged in rather forcefully in the 80th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Brain Hughes the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Brain Hughes hit a great freekick 80 minutes into the match. After 85 minutes, Babe Duggan made it 0-4 with a short kick to the right side. Bunnagippaun's Bean Dempsey tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. After 89 played minutes Geevagh got a freekick which was hit by Bresal Johnson. The Geevagh fans' excitement grew in the 93rd match minute when Geevagh's Babe Duggan looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-5 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. The Geevagh players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
